Helping community leaders Buy Back the Block

 

Through the Buy Back the Block lab, Brookings worked with community leaders in Baltimore, Cleveland, and Detroit to help them identify opportunities for inclusive economic development, specifically through potential investments in commercial real estate (CRE) in majority-Black commercial corridors. In a new report, Lyneir Richardson and Tracy Hadden Loh share key lessons and outline practical actions to foster inclusive CRE ownership.
