Hurricane Helene Update

Sep 27

Good morning all,

I am sending our Red Cross Disaster Briefs for Georgia and Florida.  We have loaded Essential Elements of Information into these briefs.  You will find storm track information, shelter locations, power outage information, evacuation routes and additional information.  We assess three separate hazards associated with Hurricane Helene: 1) wind 2) storm surge and 3) excessive rainfall. We expect to pivot from sheltering to community-based operations (damage assessment, feeding and distribution of emergency supplies) on Saturday and Sunday.  There will be ample opportunities for local volunteers from your organizations to serve in their communities.

You can expect additional updates in short order.  These maps are interactive and will continue to update as more information is available.
