Greetings community,Are We Okay?! Join community members, community activists, local politicians and organizations, for the "Let's Walk Together, Caminemos Juntos, Ann Mache Ansanm, Vamos Caminhar Juntos! Series. This is our third year of a series of gatherings that will bring together communities of Afro descendants in Massachusetts as go deeper into understanding the African American experience. The goal of the series is to uplift the lived experiences, address the harm of racism and colonization in all countries of origin and how it shows up in the U.S. with a focus on Boston. This gathering will be centered around the current needs of the community. In light of the immense duress that individuals are experiencing on personal and communal levels, we want to acknowledge these potentially complex feelings while reflecting on how to create a path forward. The gathering will be facilitated by the  UMass Boston Black Mental Health Advocacy & Research Lab.Join us on Thursday, March 21st at the Bruce Bolling Building. Refreshments will be served from 5:30-6:00 PM. Program begins at 6:00 PM.The series is presented by Black Mass Coalition, Encuentro Diáspora Afro, UMass Boston Africana Studies Department, UMass Boston Black Mental Health Advocacy & Research Lab, Boston Pan African Forum, At-Large City Councilor Julia Mejia, Next Leadership Development and RMAAD Diaspora. Attached is the flyer for the event. Please share with your networks and bring someone with you. Let us come together in the spirit of Solidarity, Healing and Reparative Justice.Peace and Solidarity,Yvette
